This amendment, ratified in 1868, was designed to prevent any State from denying citizenship to any freed slaves, or their children. It was a wise and necessary amendment – but it also does need to be modified.
This blog is dedicated to the principles that I believe made The United States the most successful country in the history of the world. It is further dedicated to the desire and hope that we are smart enough to keep it. For now, it is a compilation of articles, columns and op-eds that I found to have interest or value.
